Yesterday Networking WA assisted with an Autism Awareness Community Picnic at Kings Park for Autism West leading up to World Autism Awareness Day.
The event raised awareness for individuals affected by Autism and encouraged understanding amongst the community by educating community members about Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASP).
We had a great turn-out with lots of smiling children and cheerful families who got to intermingle with other parents as well as meet the team from Autism West.
The children enjoyed hand-printing on our canvas, face-painting, bubble blowing and running around and playing games on the grass together!
We had so much fun fundraising for such a great and rewarding cause with our friendly partners at Autism West and volunteers!
We are very grateful to those who supported the event with generous donations, including:
- Thrifty WA
- Tasty Treats
- Artshed Myaree
- Outback Aromas
- Global Health Source
Here are some photos from the event: For more information on Autism West, visit www.autismwest.org.au or call (08) 6389 1833.
