The CIO Symposium will host a number of panel discussions and industry experts throughout 2012, encouraging CIO’s to develop and foster ideas generated through the events.

This forum is held for leaders in the IT industry to share opinions, insights and knowledge, allowing them to implement the best possible practices within their organisation.

This event will explore Cyber Security, with a look at Cloud Technologies.

In Ernst & Young’s 2011 Global Information Security Survey, 45 percent of respondents were already using or evaluating cloud services for their business, with another 16 percent planning to investigate opportunities within the following 12 months.  With the increasing uptake of cloud services, it is important that organisations understand the paradigm shift associated with cloud computing.

This presentation will discuss the top risks that need to be considered when investigating a move to the cloud, and controls that can be utilised to mitigate risk.
