    Diane Smith-Gander has, over a successful twenty five year business career, focused her energies on situations where major change is needed – bringing a blend of strategic thought and operational experience to enable effective execution.
    Diane is a Director of Wesfarmers Limited, Transfield Services Limited, CBH Group Limited and Deputy Chairman of the National Broadband Network Company Limited. Diane also sits on the University of Western Australia Business School Advisory Board.
    She is a past Chairperson of the Australian Sports Drug Agency and of Basketball Australia Limited, the peak body governing the sport in Australia.
    Prior to embarking on a career as an independent director, Diane held senior executive roles at Westpac Banking Corporation in retail bank management. Her last role at Westpac was as the Group Executive responsible for IT and Operations reporting to the CEO.
    She was a partner at McKinsey & Company in Washington DC and New Jersey serving clients in diverse industries globally. Diane continues to provide advice to McKinsey in Asia on merger management topics.

    Peter is the Managing Director of Longhaus which he founded in 2006 following over a decade in international market research. He previously held Vice President level positions with the ICT industry’s leading NASDAQ listed Advisory and Consulting firms Gartner and META Group.  As a respected industry analyst and commentator Peter has now worked for 18 years within the IT and media sectors where immediately prior to Longhaus he headed Forrester Research as the Australian and New Zealand Vice President for 2-years.

    Peter’s research work is now primarily focused on the application of technology in the Australian and Asia Pacific region. Peter founded Longhaus in 2006 following over a decade in international market research, during which time he has participated in several thousand business and sales meetings, public and private presentations, and hundreds of significant research and business transformation projects.

    In 2009 Longhaus broke new ground by becoming the first commercialisation partner of the Queensland State Government for the publicaiton of ICT related asset data, which had previously only been used for ministerial and parliamentary cabinet reporting.

    With over 23 years’ experience in strategic Branding,  Marketing and Management consulting, Jo has held several national and international positions, most notably as business and brand consultant in London for OTM Brand where she was actively involved in developing brand strategy, communications and campaigns for clients such as L’Oreal, Garnier, Swatch, Tourism Australia, Radisson Hotels and NCR.    Returning to Australia, Jo owned her own branding consultancy business for five years, followed by a role as Director of Projects for a national brand strategy and research firm where she consulted on projects with clients such as Leighton, BHP, FAST, Imdex Ltd, Orontide Group and Adelaide Brighton.

    As Group Head of Brand and Culture services at Wrays, Jo rebranded and repositioned the firm, launched an entirely new stable of branding services to the market, and she energetically continues with her love of keynote speaking about brand and culture.   Jo is  currently Lead Consultant facilitating services to blue chip and crown clients for Wray

    Asha Stabback, Independent Consultant  (consulting to companies such as Barrick Gold, Citic Pacific, Chevron)

    Asha has worked as a strategic HR and Organisational Development professional for the last 10 years, focusing on enabling organisations to build the capability within their company to achieve their business objectives through a range of integrated talent management initiatives including Leadership Development, Performance Management, Succession Planning, the Employee Value Proposition and Training and Development.

    Asha is very passionate about talent management and working with senior leaders to coach them on how to deliver business results through engaging their employees. Whilst it can be difficult to measure, there are some simple calculations to assess the effectiveness of the initiatives.

    Asha completed a Masters in Strategic HR at the University of WA in 2007 and has worked across several industries however predominantly in mining. Asha is currently working as a freelance consultant and balancing motherhood and her career.

    Craig Spencer, Head of Human Resources/Community Engagement at Bankwest

    Craig has held the role of Head of HR for Group Support Divisions incorporating Finance, Strategy, Legal, Audit, Risk Management, Corporate Affairs and HR Divisions since 2006. He is also Head of Community Engagement for Bankwest, building, implementing and maintaining a bank programme incorporating colleague volunteering, building relationships with charity and community partners, developing community sponsorships and workplace  giving programmes.
